At first they bonded over their mutual pain, but they later fell in love! The couple wed on the first day of 2011, and the “Up” singer has never looked more stunning than she did that day.
Nikki Reed
“Twilight” actress Nikki Reed married “American Idol” star Paul McDonald in October this year, after being together for just seven months. Their first meeting was actually captured on film, and Reed was so taken with McDonald, she blushed and scurried away! The shyness quickly passed, and in the fall, over 100 guests gathered to witness their vows. Nikki looked beautiful in a Tacori gown, complete with a 72-inch train! Not every girl could pull off the princess look so well, but the 23-year-old movie star did it with ease.
Kim Kardashian
Although the marriage was a complete waste of time and money, there is no denying that Kim looked stunning on her wedding day. She wore a gorgeous Vera Wang dress, but it turns out that her bridal gown wasn’t entirely unique! It is actually very similar to the dress worn by Kate Hudson in “Bride Wars.” Kardashian made it look as though it was hers alone, and for that one day, she got the fairytale wedding she always wanted.
Reese Witherspoon
At the end of March, Reese Witherspoon married Jim Toth in California. The Hollywood actress always looks beautiful, but on her wedding day, she looked particularly radiant. Her dress was designed by Monique Lhuillier, and it was relatively simple compared to those worn by other celebrities this year. Witherspoon looks best when she keeps things understated, and this is why she was one of the most gorgeous brides of 2011.
Kate Middleton
Kate Middleton’s marriage to Prince William was undoubtedly the biggest event this year. The whole world waited in anticipation to see what Princess Catherine’s dress would look like, and it didn’t disappoint. Designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, it was classy without being unflattering. Kate is a true English rose, and will be one of the most memorable brides of all time.
