From source: StarloungeMSN
2011 was a great year for the entertainment industry, with stars like Adele, Ryan Gosling and Lady GaGa enjoying phenomenal success worldwide.
But 12 months is a long time in showbiz and Hollywood is currently gearing up for the next pack of stars who will be stealing the limelight in 2012.
Meanwhile the likes of Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Robert Pattinson are showing no signs of slowing down and will no doubt give the newcomers a run for their money.
So who will be on top this year?
Check out the new and old faces Starlounge predicts will be in the spotlight in 2012
Mackenzie Foy beat off fellow stars to land the dream role Renesmee, the super-fast growing daughter of Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) in ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2’, the final instalment from the vampire series. The 11-year-old can look forward to glamorous red carpet events and screaming fans this summer when the movie is released.
He’s already one of the biggest stars in the world and Robert Pattinson looks set to be more in demand than ever in 2012. The 25-year-old British actor will be seen in the thriller ‘Cosmopolis’ in a role that could transform him through a hearthrob to highly-rated actor. “All I know is…I thought that Robert was very underrated,” director David Cronenberg recently told Movieweb. “I don’t think that any director who’s looking to see what Rob can do, will not be able to see how terrific he is by looking at ‘Cosmopolis’. Robert will of course also be seen ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2’, which is also released this year.
While her rumoured boyfriend Robert Pattinson attempts to establish herself outside of the Twilight franchise, Kristen Stewart, 21, will be following his lead. The 21-year-old appears in the fantasy fairy tale '’Snow White and the Huntsman’ with Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron as well as ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2’.
