Seth MacFarlane was a guest on Bill Maher's HBO show on Friday evening. This is one of my favorite shows and when I heard 'Twilight' my ears focused even more. Well, I am not sure it was used in a good light by Seth MacFarlane. Once again 'Twilight' getting used on TV as hot button but bashed at the same time.
Why should we care that Seth MacFarlane says anything about 'Twilight'...
Who is Seth MacFarlane:
Seth Woodbury MacFarlane (born October 26, 1973) is an American animator, writer, producer, actor, singer, voice actor, and director best known for creating the animated sitcoms Family Guy, American Dad! and The Cleveland Show, for which he also voices many of the characters. He currently owns his own production company, Fuzzy Door Productions.[1][2] As an actor, he has made guest appearances on shows such as Gilmore Girls and The War at Home. MacFarlane's interest in science fiction and fantasy has led to cameo and guest appearances on Star Trek: Enterprise and voicing the character of Johann Kraus in Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy II: The Golden Army, as well as singing for the opening credits in the film Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder. His cartoon shows are known for spoof references to popular fiction in movies and on television. In 2008, he made his own YouTube channel called Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy. As a singer, MacFarlane is notable for performing Broadway tunes on his shows. His best known live performance was in the BBC Proms 2009,[3] where, during the encore, MacFarlane briefly sang in Stewie's voice.
So he is one cool dude. I hope he does a 'Twilight' spoof on 'Family Guy' cause I love the show. He could do a whole movie like the Family Guy Star Wars treatments would be so cool.
SO what exactly did Seth say during the Bill Maher Show:
And what exactly is a filibuster:
A filibuster, or "speaking or talking out a bill", is a form of obstruction in a legislature or other decision-making body whereby one attempts to delay or entirely
prevent a vote on a proposal by extending a debate on that proposal. A
popular saying is "filibuster it to death!"
This term was applied at the time to American adventurers, mostly from
Southern states, who sought to overthrow the governments of Central
American states, and was transferred to the users of the filibuster,
seen as a tactic for pirating or hijacking debate.
