Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting that Taylor Lautner is no longer attached to star in their ''Top Gun''-esque fighter-pilot adventure ''Northern Lights''.
The project, which at one stage was also rumoured to have attracted the interests of Tom Cruise (Cruise's reps denied his involvement), will continue to move forward without the Twilight heartthrob.
John Moore ("The Omen") will helm the film, the story of two competing pilots who compete in extreme flying contests.
Meanwhile, Lautner, who can currently be seen in the smash-hit romantic comedy "Valentine's Day", has a slew of projects in the works - including the thriller "Cancun", superhero flicks "Stretch Armstrong" and "Max Steel", and, of course, the next three (!?) "Twilight" films.
