In the movie poster for Eclipse that was released in March (left), Bella, Edward, and Jacob are all facing forward with grim expressions and a stormy background. We were pumped to get new Eclipse material, but this poster was pretty much a giant snoozefest. We've seen this pose already on New Moon posters (right), and even the sequel's DVD cover (middle) bares a striking resemblance to the third movie's poster.
If the trailer is any indication, there's going to be way more action in Eclipse than Twilight and New Moon. Xavier Samuel, who plays Riley, opens up the video saying, "This is a war. You know, it's a full-scale war." Kellan Lutz reveals the movie has "a lot of action. And that's what us guys love." Summit needs to reflect this with their next poster. Get us excited for the newborns to invade Forks or at least for the scene in the tent or Bella and Jacob's kiss/punch.
