A Good 2010 For These Stars - Were We Right? (Anna and Taylor)
Say SomethingWhat do you think? Were our predictions at the beginning of the year accurate?
Last year was filled with amazing new shows and rising stars -- Glee, The Vampire Diaries, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift -- but 2010 is going to be even more incredible for a handful of young celebrities. Starring roles in wild 3-D adventures, signature clothing lines, U.S. tours and potential golden statue wins are just a few reasons why these stars have it going on, and there's nothing stopping their success this year. Overflowing with talent, good looks and career savvy, here's who to watch out for in 2010.
Anna Kendrick may have slid under the radar as Bella Swan's friend in Twilight and New Moon, but she hit a home run with her role as Natalie Keener in Up In The Air. In fact, Anna is nominated for a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her portrayal of Natalie, a young, idealistic go-getter with a lot to learn. This year, Anna will return as Jessica in Eclipse and star alongside Michael Cera in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, which is based on the comic book series Scott Pilgrim.
If you don't know who Mia Wasikowska is now, you'll certainly know her after Alice In Wonderland comes out. Mia, a 20-year-old Australian actress, plays the lead role in Tim Burton's adaptation of the tale, which will undoubtedly make a big splash when it opens on March 5. Mia also stars alongside Annette Benning and Julianne Moore in the indie flick The Kids Are All Right, which will screen at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
We all know Taylor Lautner's career has been on the rise, thanks to the Twilight films, and this year is going to be even bigger for the 17-year-old star. Of course, the release of Eclipse will be massive for the Michigan native, but we also expect Taylor's non-vampire projects to catapult him into the limelight as well. He'll star opposite his ex, Taylor Swift, in the romantic comedy Valentine's Day, and begin filming two new movies -- Max Steel and Cancun.
