Mandy Moore Talks About Kellan Lutz In Nylon Magazine
THE INSIDER: MANDY MOORE
"I loved seeing Kellan Lutz every morning, but I'm not sure my husband did!"
To call Mandy Moore a triple-threat is a bit of an understatement. The pop star became a soul singer, thanks to "Coverage," her album of classic covers, then tackled the movies by starring in guilty pleasures that everyone's watched - The Princess Diaries, Because I Said So - before spoofing herself (so well it was scary) on Entourage.
And just last week, the shiny happy pop star pulled another 180, cleaning up blood and guts on the season finale of Grey's Anatomy. Now Mandy's at work on two films - Love, Wedding, Marriage with Kellan Lutz, and Tangled, the new Disney cartoon about Rapunzel.
And she still had time to talk to us!
Love, Wedding, Marriage is Dermot Mulroney's directing debut. Could you tell? Not at all! You came on set and it had the same professional, calm hum that more experienced directors can cultivate... And I'd always wanted to work with Dermot because he's such a fantastic actor. So it was exciting to work with him as an actress, but with him in a different role.
Plus, you got to kiss Kellan Lutz. Kellan is such a sweetheart, and was so lovely to work with. Plus, I mean, well, I'd never complain about showing up to work every morning to work with a handsome man. I loved seeing Kellan every morning, but I'm not sure my husband loved it!
And every teenage girl in America... He's a lot of fun to have on a movie set, and so incredibly nice. I'm glad I got to work with him, but I also felt bad - he was filming our movie, and filming [Twilight] so he was running back and forth between every set, and the boy did not have a day off.
Were you ever worried that Kellan would start saying vampire lines on set? Ha! No, he was very focused the whole time. He was great.
