Dakota Fanning first on-screen kiss makes her blush.
In the August issue of Marie Claire, the 16-year-old turned a little pink when she discussed locking lips with co-star Kristen Stewart in "The Runaways."
"It's out of the way, and it was with my friend and a girl - no pressure," Fanning told Marie Claire of her first big screen smooch.
"It was not something Cherie [Currie] and Joan [Jett] ever really spoke about, and that's how it was filmed - as not that big of a deal."
The former child star said she hoped the biopic by Floria Sigismondi would allow audiences to see her as a grown up.
"When you start out young, people get really attached to who you are at 6 years old," Fanning told the mag. "I hope that 'The Runaways' was kind of a moment to be like, 'You know, I'm not that young little girl anymore, but I'm still not all grown up, either.’"
The fact that she is not yet grown up is something co-star Stewart had to remember while filming their kissing scene.
"She was 15, and I wasn’t allowed to grope her," the 20-year-old told Access Hollywood in March. "I'm actually not kidding, there are major restrictions that I don't remember [from] when I was younger."
But that didn't stop Stewart from enjoying her smooch with Fanning.
At an "Eclipse" press conference in June, Stewart told reporters she preferred kissing Fanning to her "Eclipse" love interest, Taylor Lautner.
When asked whom she preferred, Stewart replied, "Dakota. I'm just going to have to say that because it's easier."
Kissing Lautner's character Jacob was difficult, Stewart said, because it "was so against everything that Bella's always been."
