The IMAX Experience of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse may be complete for most venues, but for the Smithsonian, it has only just begun.
Starting today (July 27th), Smithsonian IMAX is showing The Twilight Saga: Eclipse for a limited run until August 4th. More information is available here.
Eclipse's opening in IMAX theaters brought in about $1 million in midnight screening numbers alone, according to The Numbers, and this was record-breaking from prior totals set by Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen ($900,000).
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse debuted in IMAX theaters on June 30th and ran until the middle of July.
The Smithsonian's showings of Eclipse will all take place at the Lockheed Martin IMAX Theater in Washington, D.C., and tickets for the showings run around $15.00 each. Only nine screenings are scheduled, and they'll each take place at 7:30 p.m. EST, so if you want to see Eclipse in IMAX one last time and you happen to be in the D.C. area, here's your chance!
