Lionsgate has released a new DVD cover art for the “Fierce People”.

The unflinching drama starring Diane Lane (Nights in Rodanthe), Donald Sutherland (TV’s “Dirty Sexy Money”) and Elizabeth Perkins (Showtime’s “Weeds”) exposes the trappings of wealth and privilege and the overwhelming power to both seduce and corrupt. Directed by Academy Award nominee Griffin Dunne (Duke of Groove, Short Film, 1995) and screenplay by Dirk Wittenborn, adapted from his book of the same name, the film received accolades from critics including The Film Journal International (“Sutherland gives his strongest performance in years”) and Boston Now (“Fierce People features some of the finest performances of this, or any other, year”). The DVD includes deleted scenes, audio commentary with the director and a “behind-the-scenes” featurette encased in updated packaging and will be available on September 7, 2010 for the suggested retail price of $14.98.
