Casino Jack's Director George Hickenlooper Dies In Denver

George Hickenlooper, cousin of Denver mayor and gubernatorial candidate John Hickenlooper, has died.

Police say George Hickenlooper was found dead Saturday morning in an apartment near downtown Denver. He was 47.

Police say no foul play is suspected. In a statement, John Hickenlooper says his cousin died of apparent natural causes.

Los Angeles-based George Hickenlooper, who won an Emmy Award in 1992 for his work on "Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse," was in Denver for the premiere of his latest film, "Casino Jack," starring Kevin Spacey.

Lt. Gov. candidate Joe Garcia filled in for John Hickenlooper who stepped off the campaign trail to mourn his cousin's passing.
