It’s becoming more and more common that as soon as we’re done voting for one thing, another comes strolling on in. Bye bye Scream Awards; hello People’s Choice Awards!

Today, voting has begun for the People’s Choice Awards nominees (remember, people vote for the nominees first, then the actual winners). Here’s the language of the press release announcing the poll opening:

Voting has begun at www.PeoplesChoice.com to determine the nominees for PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS 2011, the only major awards show where fans – not industry insiders – completely determine the nominees and winners across categories of music, movies and television. Starting today, fans can vote on 40 categories, including Favorite Country Artist, Favorite Action Movie and Favorite TV Comedy. The top five nominees in each category will be announced on Nov. 9, 2010 at The London West Hollywood Hotel during the annual People’s Choice Awards press conference. PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS 2011 will be broadcast Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 (9:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Of the potential nominees, the Twilight Saga is featured in the following related items:

Favorite Movie – The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Favorite Movie Actor – Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner
Favorite Movie Actress – Kristen Stewart
Favorite Drama Movie – The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Favorite On-Screen Team – The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner)
Favorite Movie Star Under 25 Presented by Moviefone – Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner
Taylor Lautner’s Valentine’s Day is also up for Favorite Comedy Movie, and Jodelle Ferland’s Case 39 as well as Kellan Lutz’s A Nightmare On Elm Street are up for Favorite Horror Movie. Both Melissa Rosenberg’s Dexter and Peter Facinelli’s Nurse Jackie are up for Favorite TV Obsession. Hayley Williams (from Paramore of the Twilight soundtrack)’ collaboration with B.o.B. which won her an MTV VMA is up for Favorite Song, and for Favorite Rock Band, Linkin Park (Twilight OST’s “Leave Out All the Rest”), Muse (from all three soundtracks, of course), and Paramore are all nominated. Finally, Florence & The Machine (“Heavy in Your Arms” from the Eclipse soundtrack) is nominated for Favorite Breakout Artist.

Fans should also consider using the “Other” feature to submit “Dr. Cooper” in the Favorite TV Doctor category in support of Peter Facinelli.
