Muse is Now 'Happy' with 'Twilight' Fans

By now, we all know and likely love Muse. And many of us probably discovered Muse through the Twilight movies. Remember when Muse said they "sold their souls" for Twilight? Well, now it sounds like they're changing their tune.


While I do love Muse, I have to say that their comments about Twilight got under my skin a little bit. Instead of claiming that putting their music on the Twilight soundtracks was like selling their souls, they should just be appreciative that people are listening to and loving their music.
Well, it sounds like Muse is starting to change their tune a bit. In a recent interview with MTV News, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy (and Kate Hudson boyfriend!) claimed, "Loads of young fans come to our gigs now who say, 'We heard that song from that film.' And that's great. We're happy with that." Well, good; you better be.


So, is Bellamy a Twilight fan? I wouldn't exactly call him that. He says of the movies, "The first one was pretty good... The second one I only saw a bit of it. A guy kept taking his shirt off and showing his muscles, which was getting a little cheesy. The third one was pretty good." I kind of love that Bellamy calls New Moon "cheesy." But I kind of hate that he says "a guy..." Yeah right, like he doesn't know that's Edward Cullen! Ugh.
