TV.com’s Celebrity Style Profile: Ashley Greene

Photobucket
You probably know this exotic-looking vixen from her turn as Alice, the psychic member of the Cullen clan, in the Twilight movie series.  And much like Alice, Ashley Greene enjoys an eclectic sense of fashion that seems to ping-pong between ultra-comfy casual looks and seriously spicy ensembles.  But whether she's walking the red carpet, lounging poolside, or rocking the cover of one of your favorite fashion mags, this saucy style chameleon tends to have a look that's all her own, and she's extremely versatile.  She can go from sleek and sophisticated to fun and flirty to totally tomboy seemingly in the blink of an eye, making her style difficult to pin down.  Pretty much the only thing you can count on with this model and actress when it comes to her fashion aesthetic is that it's going to be different every time you see her.
Take for example her hair.  You may have noticed that she tends to change it up quite a bit.  It's long then short, wavy then straight, cropped and spiky then sleekly bobbed.  Light brown, dark brown, highlights, slicked back, loose and tousled, side swept, and so on and so forth.  If we didn't know better, we'd think she was wearing wigs!  And then there's her makeup, which is nude and natural one day, emphasizes her eyes with startling smokiness the next, and focuses on a bold lip soon after.  This girl is constantly changing it up!  And her wardrobe is no exception.  But let's try to break it down anyway.
There is one look she sports quite a bit when hitting the red carpet for various events, and that is a cute little cocktail dress.  She tends to go for sheaths that are body hugging and short at the hemline, usually falling well above the knee.  She also seems to prefer neutrals, sporting glam looks in silver, block prints in black and white, or pleated off-white numbers.  In each case she keeps the cut simple but goes for a little embellishment.  She has also been known to rock a flirty frock with a fitted bodice and a flouncy, tiered skirt.  As for floor-length gowns, she doesn't tend to wear them too often outside of modeling shoots, but when she does, she seems to go for interesting draping rather than the more form-fitting style she prefers in her shorter dresses.
But that's just red-carpet wear.  In her daily life her stylistic leanings fall decidedly in the category of comfort, although that doesn't necessarily mean she wears the same tee and jeans all the time.  She's been spotted with equal frequency in a slouchy tee and short-shorts, a strapless romper, a jersey maxi dress, a tank top and skinny jeans, ringer tees, hoodies, peasant blouses, the lumberjack look (girly plaids), fitted jackets with wide lapels, and basically just about anything that's been trendy since she moved into the spotlight.
In short, it is nearly impossible to pin down one look that embodies this girl's style.  From one fabulous photo to the next, you can hardly even tell it's the same person (although she pretty much always looks great).  So if you want to attempt to steal her style, chances are you may already be doing it!  If you stay on top of current trends in fashion, shop to your heart's content, and change your look on a daily basis, then you are a lot closer to this celeb's style than you probably imagined.
