Jamie Campbell Bower known for his role of Caius Volturi a vampire villain in Twilight: New Moon Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2, will be a young king arthur in Starz new original series "Camelot".
The press release from STARZ announced an April 1st 2010 premiere date for 'Camelot,' "a new Take on the timeless tale of King Arthur."
Joseph Fiennes (Flash Forward, Shakespeare in Love) will portray Merlin but he warns that this Merlin has a bit of a dark side. Seeing Fiennes in period costume and wielding a sword might be even better than his role in "Flash Forward." Eva Green (Casino Royale, The Golden Compass) in her television debut at the darkly powerful Morgan, Tamsin Egerton as Guinevere, Claire Forlani as Queen Igraine and Peter Mooney as Kay. "Camelot" regular cast: Diarmaid Murtagh as Brastias, James Purefoy as King Lot, Clive Standen as Gawain and Philip Winchester as Leontes.
It should be really exciting to see what Starz does with this show and if it's anything like Spartacus it should be a treat for the other King Arthur freaks out there.
