'General Hospital' Maybe Mentioned Twilight Last Week
From Twifans
It seems a lot of shows like to mention Twilight or reference it in some way without actually mentioning Twilight. Well this past week I was watching my soap General Hospital and 1 of the characters Molly was talking to her cousin Michael about this series of books she is reading. Molly, Michael and other characters were involved in a bus accident heading on a ski trip. So for a few days there are mentions of "these books" Molly is reading. Molly mentions she is reading a book about vampires. She mentions to Michael that he reminds her of the main character in the book "the vampire" and how he is in high school, but he's just trying to fit in & act like a normal teenager (Hint #1). Molly mentions its a 4 book Series (Hint #2). After the bus crashed Molly & Michael go off to try & find help (the bus crashed and they went down an embankment so they are going just to the street, not wondering the woods) Molly mentions to Michael that if they were vampires they wouldn't be affected by the cold weather (Hint #3) Molly mentions "The Vampire" is "tremendously Strong" and that he feels like he will wreck the girl characters life but they have a "Love that transcends time"(Hint #4). Then once Molly & Michael flag down help (just so happens to be Michael's half brother Dante and his soon to be step mom Brenda) Molly talked to Brenda about how she was explaining the books she's been reading to Michael and that she has read the series a few times (Hint #5). Its sounds like Twilight to me...but again no actual showing of the books, name of the book or actual reference to a characters name. So any thoughts on this & if you think that General Hospital is just another long line of shows that have used Twilight as a topic??? I love finding hints of Twilight in my favorite shows...it makes me smile and know that this is a phenomenon thats gonna last a long time.
