Ryan Donowho & Dakota Fanning In 'Mississippi Wild'
Nextmovie
Starlet Dakota Fanning is about to run wild with former "O.C." regular Ryan Donowho (remember him?).
Fanning and Donowho have just joined the cast of writer/ director Jesse Baget's new indie thriller "Mississippi Wild," which follows a teen (Donowho) who has to go on the run with his girlfriend (Fanning) after stealing diamonds that belong to a local gangster, Collider reports.
That's one ballsy teen.
The troubled lovers join a seriously impressive cast that's rumored to include some Hollywood heavyweights.
Mickey Rourke is slated for the role of the diamond-losing gangster, while Forest Whitaker has been tagged to play a rival gangster out to kill Rourke's character.
Last but not least, there's Robert Duvall in an as-of-now undisclosed role. (Though we're placing our bets on some version of a no-nonsense tough-guy with nothing to lose.)
With those men on his trail and Fanning by his side, Donowho better be quick on his feet. Needless to say, this is a long way from "The O.C.," where his universally hated surfer character died after Mischa Barton's Marissa Cooper didn't return his affections.
"Mississippi Wild" is set to start shooting on Mar. 21 in Atlanta, gearing up to hit theaters in 2012.
