Color, the latest social photo sharing app, recently partnered with 20th Century Fox for the New York premiere of “Water for Elephants,” and shared some interesting stats regarding fan participation.
The goal of the event was to bring the red carpet to fans who could not be in Manhattan (which is most of us). To do so, designated reps took photos and video and shared them using color. In addition, an exclusive clip from the film was posted to www.color.com/waterforelephants. You can check it out now at the site.
Color says fans shared more than 800 photos from the “Water” premiere, capturing Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz and more. In addition, nearly 4000 Facebook “likes” and 400 tweets were submitted during the actual premiere event.
Color is a free mobile app for iPhones that allows people to capture photos, videos, and text together. It soon will be available for Androids and Windows 7.
In the meantime, here are some of the photos taken during the “Water for Elephants” premiere and shared online using Color.
