R-Patz says landing a box seat at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium was the best thing he achieved from his Twilight success.

Robert Pattinson may not be a fan of glitzy red carpet events and the constant attention from the press but the Twilight star has revealed his favourite film star perk – namely the free box tickets to watch his favourite football team at the Emirates Stadium.

The 24-year-old landed tickets to see Arsenal play after a well-connected Twilight fan WAG persuaded her boyfriend to make the offer.

Speaking on Lorraine, Pattinson said: “This is the good thing about being a famous person. I got Theo Walcott call up my agent because his girlfriend is a fan of Twilight and I went to see an Arsenal game in his box.

“That was probably one of the best things I have achieved from Twilight.”

After catapulting to fame following his lead role in the Twilight Saga movies, Pattinson has struggled to adjust to the celeb lifestyle, once getting clipped by a taxi as he tried to escape a group of enthusiastic fans in New York.

Three years on and several movies later, Pattinson has learned to deal with his popularity but insists he has no intention of getting complacent with it.

“I am kind of getting used to it a little bit but I don’t want to get to used to it because then if it goes away, I will be like ‘oh God, what am I doing’.

“It is possible [to have privacy], he added. “It is quite complicated but the good thing about it is when you do find there is no-one and you are not paranoid about anything, then you are guaranteed to have a good day so it is actually quite easy.”

Pattinson attended the London Premiere for his latest film Water for Elephants alongside co-star Reese Witherspoon on Tuesday (May 3) but it seems that it was Rosie the elephant who stole the heart of the actor during his time on set.

“She [Rosie] is an incredibly experienced actress. She has a genuine personality. At the end, everybody applauded her and without any command from her trainer or anything, she curtsied and put her trunk up in the air and roared - she was completely taking in the applause.

“I’m used to being upstaged. She has done more movies than anyone else on the movie. She has done 70 movies.”

Enchanted by the relationship he made with the friendly elephant, he added: “There was one day when I fell asleep with an elephant’s trunk around me and I thought ‘this is not going to happen many more times in my life’.”
