Universal Schedules Tom Cruise's 'Oblivion,' Oliver Stone's 'Savages'
The ensemble cast ranges from hot up-and-comers such as Blake Lively, Aaron Johnson and Emile Hirsch to vets such as John Travolta, Benicio Del Toro and Uma Thurman, among others.
The story focuses on a couple of young, independent Laguna Beach-based marijuana kingpins (Johnson and Hirsch) who are blackmailed into working for the Baja Cartel after their best friend and sometime sex partner (Lively) is kidnapped.
Maestro will play Del Toro’s wife, a tough and bitter woman whose soccer mom lifestyle hides a gang-life past.
Winslow, Shane Salerno and Stone wrote the screenplay together. Moritz Borman and Eric Kopeloff are producing the pic, which goes into production later this summer.
Maestro, repped by ICM and 3 Arts Entertainment, will next be seen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn as part of the group of vampires known as the Covenant.
