July 22 was wild as bananas as 100 Monkeys took the stage at the Fillmore Charlotte. Dedicated fans lined the venue waiting for a glimpse of Jackson Rathbone (you know, that one vampire from that mega-hit series). Their wait wasn’t in vain as local band Brandon Kirkley and the Firecrackers, The Kissing Club and Bleeding Horse Express opened the show.
Once 100 Monkeys took the stage, their funk, rock, 60s-esque music assured everyone was on their feet dancing. Between hits from their new album Liquid Zoo and an improv song by the name of “Magic Wand,” everyone left the venue feeling energized and satisfied.
