We patrolled Nordstrom at The Grove in Los Angeles for the launch of the Dylan George and Abbot + Main by Dylan George Fall ’11 Collection. Immortals and The Twilight Saga’s Kellan Lutz, who was recently announced as the new face of the Dylan George premium denim Fall 2011 campaign, has partnered with the brand’s founder, Danny Guez, to co-design a ready-to-wear menswear line, Abbot + Main. The line, launching Fall 2011, is a Venice Beach-inspired 25-piece collection of t-shirts and knitwear ranging from $44.00 to $178.00 and is the perfect compliment to the men’s Dylan George offerings.
To coincide with the release of the campaign and celebrate the launch of the Dylan George and Abbot + Main by Dylan George Fall ’11 collections, Kellan Lutz made a special appearance on Thursday, August 11, at Nordstrom. Customers who made a purchase of Dylan George or Abbot + Main by Dylan George had the opportunity to attend the private event from 5:00pm – 7:00pm and had their photo taken with the Twilight star.
At around 5:30 pm, Kellan came out much to the delight of his fans. The 6’1″ star was such a sweetheart as he hugged each one of them and looked geniunely happy to be chatting with each fan for a minute or two. One crying fan handed Kellan a coral bracelet and Kellan thanked the girl profusely.
“It’s just great to step outside of that.. I started out modeling and I really love fashion and I am no genius at it but Danny (Danny Guez) is. So it’s great to really collaborate with him and I don’t want to get emotional right now but this is really near and dear to my heart because I had so much fun doing this. I finished “Breaking Dawn” but throughout the whole process of “Breaking “Dawn,” I had a lot of down time in my trailer, so Danny and I had a lot of Skype sessions really making the product Abbot + Main special and I hope you guys really enjoy it. Thank you for coming out and showing me support.” Kellan Lutz said.
