Kristen Stewart is no stranger to transforming herself for movie roles, especially for her vampire turn in the wildly popular The Twilight Saga with Robert Pattinson. Now that the filming for that series has wrapped and Breaking Dawn is mere months away from its big premiere, Stewart is tapping into another alter ego, one of the fairytale sort. Her starring part in the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman has her making some significant beauty changes, specifically to her hair color.

At London Fashion Week this past weekend, K-Stew took some time off from the Snow White set to attend the Mulberry runway show. She stepped out wearing a pretty blue printed dress and debuted dramatic new jet-black locks, which are an obvious and extreme departure from her Breaking Dawn brunette color.

During her Fashion Week appearance, as documented by Celebuzz, Kristen Stewart's long hair channeled the dark-haired Disney princess. She also wore minimal makeup without an ounce of spray tan on her face or body. Indeed, the black hair really accents Stewart's Snow-White-perfect porcelain skin tone and is a refreshing departure from the spotted bleach blonde and overly bronzed look on some stars.

With this beauty transformation, it seems as if Kristen Stewart will most certainly be the ideal image of a modern and updated Snow White!

Of course, this isn't the first time Stewart has taken a walk on the dark side or changed her hair color for a movie role. To play Joan Jett in The Runaways last year, she rocked a raven-colored shaggy 'do that packed on plenty of edge.

And earlier this year, Kristen Stewart went much lighter, almost back to her natural color of blonde. She sported a strawberry-tinged hue with honey-toned highlights on the February 2011 cover of Vogue magazine. The shade was for her role in the On The Road movie, an adaptation of the Jack Kerouac novel, with Garrett Hedlund.
