Robert Pattinson: First Choice for Green Day Movie Musical?

Last month, the 25-year-old British actor, who wore Current/Elliott jeans, was spotted walking through Toronto’s airport sporting the same beard!

In an episode of VH1’s Popup Video, while playing a Green Day song, a speculative bubble popped up saying Robert was first choice for the band’s large screen adaptation of American Idiot, their Broadway musical, MTV reports.
”Hollywood is trying to turn it into a movie … Billie Joe has said that his first choice to play the main character: Robert Pattinson,” the bubble read.
The film is tentatively set for a 2013 release date.
