Examiner: Wyck Godfrey talks 'Breaking Dawn' on the black carpet (video)

While on the black carpet for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1's premiere earlier this month, Wyck Godfrey (producer on all five Twilight Saga films) stopped to give us a little insight into the production process for Part 1.
One thing he discussed was the birth scene and how that came to be. According to him, director Bill Condon put forth a much "cooler" vision on how it should be handled on-screen. Job well done, right?

Godfrey also talked about the ratings issue circling Breaking Dawn saying, "Internationally, the birth was more of a problem than the sex. Domestically, the sex is more of a problem than the birth. That’s the world we live in." . . . Remember the thrusting issue with the U.K. film board?
Anyway, Godfrey also discussed what it was like for him to have Stephenie Meyer come onto the final two films as a fellow producer, saying, "I’d like to say some really smart professional answer, but the best part of it was just getting to be with her every day and hanging out. Whereas before, I had to use my judgment of what was appropriate or what wasn’t. I would go, ‘Oh wait, Stephenie is here. What do you think?’ She’s like, ‘I like it!’ I’m like ‘Great! I don’t have to do anything!’ It was great. It was so much fun."
