'Twilight' star Christopher Heyerdahl heading to 'True Blood'

A True Blood/Twilight Saga cast cross-over had to happen eventually.
One might've expected that Nikki Reed ("Rosalie Hale") or Elizabeth Reaser ("Esme Cullen"), who have been openly long-time fans of the show, would be the ones to guest star on the show, but not so.
Christopher Heyerdahl ("Marcus" - Volturi) will be appearing on the show for a recurring role, according to Deadline.

 He will portray Dieter Braun, an ancient, powerful vampire who plays a large part in the intelligence of the Authority and especially enjoys enhanced interrogation.

Heyerdahl's always been successful in the television world, most recently with AMC's Hell On Wheels.
He'll be the first Twilight alum to appear on the show, even though both have been very successful vampire-centric series which began around the same time (Twilight premiered in November, 2008, while True Blood first hit HBO in September of the same year).

Is anyone else totally stoked about this? Especially since Heyerdahl's character sounds so very juicy!
