Worldwide fashion brand DKNY, available today at the Jewel Hut, stars 'Twilight' actress Ashley Greene in new poster girl campaign.
[ClickPress, Fri Feb 24 2012] Popular fashion brand DKNY has launched its Spring/Summer 2011 campaign, starring actress Ashley Greene.
DKNY, a hit with jewellery fans at specialist UK jewellery website the Jewel Hut, has released shots from Greene’s debut photo shoot as the brand prepares for the new season.
Greene was announced as the new face of designer Donna Karan’s world-renowned fashion brand DKNY in December 2011. The actress had previously aligned herself with the brand after wearing customised DKNY for a public appearance at the 2011 Met Ball in New York.
Now, after signing an exclusive, year-long contract with DKNY, the new brand ambassador will front campaigns for upcoming collections. The first campaign shots to have emerged feature Greene wearing several stylish DKNY outfits from the Spring/Summer collection atop a building with the New York City skyline in the background.
Greene has appeared in all four of the ‘Twilight Saga’ films released so far, and will be seen in ‘Breaking Dawn, pt. 2’ when it is released in cinemas later this year. As well as her popular role of Alice Cullen, Greene has made appearances in TV series ‘Pan Am’ and can be seen in upcoming films ‘LOL’ and ‘The Apparition’.
In an interview for the brand’s website, Greene describes DKNY as ‘cool, urban, chic’. When asked what her favourite outfit is, Green states she prefers an ensemble of jeans, flats and a T-shirt complemented by ‘a really cool piece of jewellery... to make it my own and give it my own twist.’
While jewellery is not the focus of the Spring/Summer shoot, Greene is likely to be seen wearing DKNY jewellery in future campaigns throughout the year. DKNY jewellery is inspired by the contemporary style and fashion verve of New York City, fitting it into the overall ethos for the popular brand.
