The Host author Stephenie Meyer took to blogging today for the first time in a quite a while, and in her new post she provided a few updates as to film progress on The Host. First, she announced that the start date for filming will be next week on Monday, February 13th. She also announced that Frances Fisher has been cast for the role of "Maggie" in the adaptation and that the sets are currently being finished for production.
Another incredible addition to our cast—one which I believe I'm the first to announce—Maggie will be played by the wonderful Frances Fisher. Welcome, Frances, I couldn't be happier that you've chosen to join us!
