Goodness gracious. Give the girl a break.
A report hit the Web Wednesday that Kristen Stewart was skipping On the Road's Aug. 16 London premiere because she was "too embarrassed to appear in public in the wake of her cheating scandal." But a source close to the film tells E! News the U.K. screening was never being attended by any of the film's American stars, and any reports to the contrary are completely false. So that's that. As for Robert Pattinson? He's working away.

A source told E! News the 26-year-old Brit attended a business meeting Tuesday afternoon in Beverly Hills. He's also on board for Cosmopolis promotion, beginning with an appearance on The Daily Show Monday. He's also scheduled to do Good Morning America Wednesday morning. Stewart and Pattinson are both on their own schedules now, but they will have to cross paths to promote Breaking Dawn: Park 2.

The final Twilight film hits theaters Nov. 16. Sparkle will always beat spite.

As he continues to deal with the fallout of his girlfriend Kristen Stewart cheating on him, Robert Pattinson is making his first public appearances. The actor left Reese Witherspoon’s house in Ojai, California, where he had sought refuge, for a night out with friends from the U.K. at a nearby country-Western bar last Friday. A source told People magazine, “Pattinson came in with a few friends, like three guys.

There was a big party here already and they came in to hang out with the party. There were two girls that were hanging around him, but not Rob necessarily. He seemed happy, fine.” The source added, “He was laughing and smiling most of the time, but he was low key. He didn’t really get up. No dancing or anything. He was totally nice and polite.” The “Twilight” star has also booked a sit down interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, August 15. The “GMA” appearance will be a live interview.

There is no word yet on who will be asking the questions to Pattinson, but he will be there to promote his new movie, “Cosmopolis.” It is one of two upcoming sit-down interviews for the 26-year-old actor; he reportedly is also confirmed to appear as a guest on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” on Monday, August 13.

These will be his first interviews since Stewart publicly apologized for cheating on him with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders. Bill Condon, the director of the final two “Twilight” films, weighed in on the scandal by pleading with fans for “respect” for Stewart and Pattinson. To Entertainment Weekly, Condon said, “The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that. Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the ‘Twilight’ movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon. Above all they have always shown great respect for the fans who made these movies such a success. Now it’s time that some of that respect be returned to them.”
