After donning a much-talked-about beaded jumpsuit at the London premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ last night, it was off to the next stop for Kristen Stewart and her costars Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson.
This morning found the trio in Madrid, Spain for a photocall to promote the final installment of the series. Kristen arrived on the black carpet at the Villa Magna Hotel wearing a Spring 2013 black-and-white paneled “Bahamas” dress by Welsh designer Julien Macdonald with a beautiful gold embroidered bib neckline of crystals and pearls that was toughened up with spikes.
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen the 22-year-old in a creation by Julian; the last time being on the 2009 press tour for “New Moon”.
I think the statement bib gave a unique edge to an otherwise simple design, but from far away–it looks more like metallic feathers than spikes. It worked well for the early day press conference, but I’m not crazy about the white.
Black suede crisscross open toe Jerome C. Rousseau “Popp” Spring 2013 sandals showed off the Chanel “Delight” gold polish on her toe nails, while minimal make-up and Kristen’s signature mane of high-volume waves completed her look.
As for her jewelry, it was the usual suspects: a white gold Cartier “Juste Un Clou” nail bracelet and a Iwona Ludyga Designs “Tribe Beaded Flag” bracelet ($68, iwonaludygadesign.com) .
