examiner Today, Taylor Lautner is following in the footsteps of this The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson by hitting the promotional circuit in support of the film, and for his first stop, he dropped in to The Today Show this morning.
One of the subjects discussed during the interview on Today was the upcoming premiere for Breaking Dawn - Part 2 which will take place at Nokia L.A. Live on Monday, Nov. 12.
Beginning yesterday, Twilight fans up to 2,250 strong in numbers have already begun camping out for the Part 2 premiere, and Lautner reacted to that news, saying "It's unbelievable that fans are already starting to camp out and their support is just amazing, and we can't wait to get out there and see them."
Lautner also said that while it's something that's been happening each year since the very beginning of the Twilight Saga film franchise, it's not something he's quite gotten over yet.
"The premieres are just awesome for us, and they're surreal every single time. People ask me 'Do you get used to this?' and I say 'No, of course not because this is ... unlike anything else,'" he explained.
eonline And Savannah Guthrie certainly wasted no time reminding the guy of just that during his appearance on Friday's Today by pulling up several stills from the Twilight flicks that show the actor sans shirt.
"In the finale, Taylor, do you get a shirt? That is the question," Guthrie inquired.
"Of course I do," the actor replied with a laugh.

The "finale," of course, is Breaking Dawn Part 2, and for Lautner, it's hard to believe the movie marks the end of the film franchise.
"It's nuts to me that it's coming to a close, because I remember when we were just beginning, I was saying, man, this is gonna be forever," said Lautner. "And here we are. Those five years have flown by. It's been some of the most amazing years of my life and it's a bummer it's coming to an end."
Later, Guthrie jokingly asked about any negatives stemming from all the attention Twilight has brought him—like, say, hearing loss.
"When I hear the screams that seem to follow you around, it's kind of deafening," the Today cohost remarked.
"Look, if that's the worst downside, then I'm totally good with everything," a smiling Lautner noted.
Later, Lautner followed up his Today appearance with a visit to Live With Kelly and Michael, where, naturally, the whole shirtless thing became a hot topic of discussion.
"It's funny. I had a conversation with the director...and I said, 'Can we maybe try and limit the shirtless scenes just a little bit?'' Lautner recalled. "So I was able to do that, and so, there's only one in this one. But it's a serious one."
