R-Patz's 8m Dior deal is not to be sniffed at...
Robert Pattinson will be hoping he's not forced to roll out any cheesy lines like Brad Pitt after signing up to be the face of Dior's new male fragrance.
R-Patz was confirmed as the front for Dior Homme by the French fashion house, which is rumored to have offered the Twilight star an 8million deal.
The 27-year-old will be photographed by American artist Nan Goldin and filmed by French director Romain Gavras for the fragrance's ad campaign.
'The House of Dior is delighted to announce that actor Robert Pattinson is to be the new face of Dior Homme fragrance,' the fashion house said. It reportedly chose R-Patz for his acting prowess rather than his smouldering looks.
'He has since proven the scope of his acting talents by choosing films as varied as Remember Me by Allen Coulter, Water for Elephants by Francis Lawerence, in which he starred alongside Reese Witherspoon, or with his role as Bel Ami, the famous Maupassant character,' the statement added.
'Today we are excited to announce that he will join the privileged circle of Dior faces.'
R-Patz will have to work for his millions and is expected to push the boundaries for the shoot. Previous reports claimed he has already shot a steamy ad that involves him taking part 'in a foursome in various states of undress.'
But it is not clear if those scenes will make the final cut, the reports added.
The coy Englishmen does risk the chance of being mocked after Brad Pitt tried to pull off deep and meaningful lines in his super cringe-some Channel No.5 advert.
