Gossip Cop: No Web of Intrigue for Robert Pattinson, Andrew Garfield and “Mystery” Blonde

Robert Pattinson’s every move is monitored, so it’s not surprising that his post-Golden Globes hang time withSpider-man star Andrew Garfield at the HBO party received notice.

But it was the reported presence of a blonde “mystery gal” with the group that’s starting to make waves online.

“There was a blonde in tow with Pattinson’s mini entourage, and we know what his agent looks like and it wasn’t her,” says E! Online.

Well, Gossip Cop was also at the bash, and wasn’t far from the Twilight star when he was talking to Garfield. We can report that the blonde woman being mentioned was definitely not with Pattinson in any flirtatious way. She seemed to be part of his team for the night (which also included security, management, etc.).

Anyone who reads the entire story in context sees that E! itself is not creating drama.

But we guarantee less scrupulous outlets are already seizing on the “blonde” tidbit and turning it into something illicit.

Andrew Garfield Talks About Rob: "We're very supportive of each other."

Hollywood's new Spider-Man Andrew Garfield is adamant he will never fall out with Robert Pattinson over a role - because the two actors are genuinely good friends.

The two British stars were both in the running to step into Tobey Maguire's superhero suit for the upcoming movie, but it was The Social Network star Garfield who eventually won the coveted part.

But Garfield insists there is no animosity between himself and Pattinson over the decision - and he has vowed to support his pal's career.

He tells Britain's ShortList magazine, "I don't see it that way (as a competition). Rob's a friend of mine and I care about him a lot. We're very supportive of each other."
