"I don’t think I’ve ever seen a vampire movie where I think the vampires are attractive. OK, girls are sometimes kind of sexy, but guys end up looking worse than they do in their real life with the pale make-up and the fangs. I’ve watched True Blood and all those guys are great looking, but you put vampire make-up on them and they look less handsome on the show than they do in reality."
On his steamy scenes with Kriston Stewart:
"I think the more comfortable you are with each other, the harder it gets to do any kind of really intense relationship scene. You’re kind of thinking, 'I don’t want to embarrass myself in front of this person,' 'I know what she’s thinking now,' so it becomes ridiculous after awhile. Watching other people have sex is never going to be that spectacular anyway. It’s a strange thing when there’s so much hype about it. You are like, 'God, I hope this lives up to it.' The toughest part was avoiding an R-rating. It’s funny when people talk about the sex scenes in the book because there are no sex scenes in the book. Go back and read. They always fade to black."

On the love scene the world is waiting for:
"The bed stuff was a little bit technical and weird. Every time I was off-camera, I was making goofy faces at Rob to make him laugh. I couldn’t take it seriously. I had fun when we got romantic in the water though. It felt very spontaneous."
On her big walk down the aisle:
"I was so transcendentally weird that day. It was one of the last things that we shot in the movie, and I felt it all coming to an end. I was uber-aware; my nerves were so close to the surface of my skin. I had all of these beats in my head laid out about what I was going to do in those scenes. Like, I knew that there was a moment where you’re supposed to swell and glow. It was intense. The morning we were filming the wedding, I let all the others go to work without me. I stayed in my bedroom by myself and I did not go to set with everyone else. I tried to have the experience of what I would feel before the wedding and what I felt when it happened for real, and I think it came across. I felt good that day."

On why Jacob will always stay with him:
"He’s come a long way and he takes a huge step in this film. He really grows up a lot and he has to make some tough choices. I don’t know if I could fill Jacob’s shoes. When he’s in a tough spot, sometimes he doesn’t handle it so well, but I feel for him because I don’t know how I would handle it. But while I’ve loved playing him and appreciate all the attention I’ve gotten, I’m the same person I always have been."
On discovering Jacob's heart would be broken:
"The first time I read Breaking Dawn I was really surprised. Stephanie Meyers sent it to me and I was turning the pages and I’m like, ‘Is Jacob going to end up with Bella or not?’ I finally get to the chapter where he’s with Bella’s baby and that was a shocker for me. It kind of took a while to get used to that idea."
