PETER FACINELLI
Peter Facinelli studied with the Atlantic Theater Company through New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts program before making his feature film debut in Rebecca Miller's Angela. Other television roles followed, such as Tim Matheson's son in An Unfinished Affair, where he met future wife and mother of his three daughters - actress Jennie Garth.
Peter moved on to such feature projects as Touch Me, with Amanda Peet, Dancer, Texas Pop. 81, with Ethan Embry and Breckin Meyer, and Can't Hardly Wait, with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jerry O'Connell. He also worked alongside Angelina Jolie in Foxfire, Angela Bassett and James Spader in Supernova, Burt Reynolds in Tempted, Kevin Spacey and Danny Devito in The Big Kahuna, Drew Barrymore in Riding in Cars with Boys, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in The Scorpion King, and Matthew Broderick in Finding Amanda. Most recently, he played the role of Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the record-breaking box office Twilight franchise.
On television, Peter starred in the FOX action drama Fastlane, with Bill Bellamy and Tiffani Thiessen, HBO's Six Feet Under, and the FX series Damages, with Glenn Close. He can currently be seen starring as Dr. Fitch Cooper on Showtime's Emmy Award-winning program Nurse Jackie, with Edie Falco.
BO marks the second collaboration for Peter Facinelli and writer/director Daniel Boneville, after their award-winning surreal venture - Lily: "Much like with Danny Aiello, the role of Michael Bonifacci was written for Peter Facinelli, and I honestly can't imagine anyone else playing it. Peter is a fantastic collaborator; and since we're both New York-born, Italian-American boys - this dynamic character will showcase his considerable talents on a whole new level for his fans."
"BO" is a character-driven ensemble piece that tracks multiple stories within an Italian-American family unit and its respective relationships, over the course of a few summer days in New York. These interweaved tales revolve around familial patriarch Tomasino 'Bo' Bonifacci, and deal with themes of generational bond, fathers and estranged sons, cooking, food celebrity, the fishing life, sibling dynamics, unfaithful love, friendship loyalty, and letting go of the past. At times both heartfelt and comedic in its specificity, this richly textured journey offers detailed characterizations, and addresses universal themes - providing an impactful emotional experience for anyone who has ever dealt with the trials and tribulations of our human need for famiglia.
