During last night’s Superbowl, the first ads appeared for the new vampire vs. Catholics film, Priest. Ironically the film’s titular character is played by Cam Gigandet, an actor best known for his role as the evil James from the first Twilight film. Here are 5 more fun facts about Cam that may convince you to see yet another bloodsucker flick.
*It’s Gig-ghan-deeet
And you may remember him from The O.C., where he was the evil surfer dude Kevin. More recently he played opposite Christina Aguilera in Burlesque and Minka Kelly in The Roommate, but says he enjoys playing the bad boy much more
*He has won two “Best Fight” awards
One for Twilight, one for Never Back Down.
*Don’t mess with the Cam
The 28-year-old is an expert in the Israeli self-defense system of Krav Maga. Not bad for a skinny, blonde white boy.
*Cam’s A Family Man
Not only is he there for his sister, hairstylist Kelsie Gigandet (above, at her wedding), but he also became a dad with his girlfriend Dominique Geisendorff in 2009. Now he and his daughter Everleigh Ray are inseparable.
*He’s not Cam-era shy
The actor bared all (or all that was allowed in a PG-13 rated film) in order to woo X-tina in Burlesque. He also manages to strip for Twilight and Pandorum, making him one of the least modest boys in the biz.
