Peter Talks Diet

What's the first information you consume in the morning?
First
thing in the morning, I check my email on my iPhone or laptop.

What do you read or watch or listen to at the breakfast table?
Normally,
I just listen to the crispiness of my bacon as I chew.

What occupies your mind in the car, on the subway, train, or bus?
Playing games on my iPhone and checking my Twitter account

occupies my time when I'm traveling. When I'm driving, I just throw on some music–whatever's playing on the radio.

Are you a TV junkie or on an airtime-restricted diet?
I
don't watch a lot of television–I usually watch movies and documentaries using Netflix. I just saw a documentary called The Last Word about a guy who's wrongly accused of murder. I actually got the rights, and I want to make a film about it.

If you're a couch potato, what do you watch, and how: TV, laptop, or tablet?
My
two favorite shows are Dexter and Nurse Jackie, which I'm probably biased toward because I'm on it. I don't really turn the TV on because I can watch whatever I want on my laptop. I'm really looking forward to Internet TV, which Apple and Google are working on.

Before bed, do you bite into a novel, graze on Twitter, or fast until morning?
Graze
on Twitter. I communicate with my fans and share my day with them. I'm interested in what the people who are following me have to say.

Which is more nutritious: print or Web?
I
think that the Web is more nutritious because it's a quicker source of information. You can go to a number of sites and get different information from more than one source.

Give us the skinny on your favorite app.
High
Noon–it's the best game. You duel with another cowboy and use your cell phone as a gun. You're actually playing someone else live.

What's your biggest digital indulgence?
I'm
really an Internet junkie. And I love my iPhone because it allows me to search the Web, check my email, take pictures of the family, communicate with people, and play games all at once.

With such a bloated media universe, how do you cut out the fat?
I
streamline everything down to the Internet. You can stream your news, TV shows, and movies there. I do miss watching things on a big-screen platform, but I feel like at this level, we really need it to all be integrated.
