ICYMI: Kristen Stewart Talks SWATH and How the Grueling Shoot “Wrecked” Her Thumb by @colliderfrosty

 Snow White and the Huntsman opens this Friday, and it will be a big test of Kristen Stewart‘s staying power in the business as her first big tentpole movie outside the Twilight franchise.  Stewart plays Snow White in the re-imagining, a young woman who has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth), which proves useful when the evil queen (Charlize Theron) sets out to destroy the only person in the land fairer than her.  Nick Frost, Bob Hoskins, Ray Winstone, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, and Ian McShane also star in Rupert Sanders‘ directorial debut.

Stewart sounds up to the challenge in an interview with our partners at Omelete.  She talks about how physically difficult the shoot was (she describes her thumb as “wrecked”), her appreciation for Sanders’ desire to use in-camera effects wherever possible, and explains why horses are more terrifying the rats.  Hit the jump to watch the interview.
