#SWATH Costume Designer Colleen Atwood Talks About Dressing Kristen and Charlize
“Snow White was more interesting to us as a bit of a rebel. We had a costume that went through a lot of changes without actually being changed. As she journeyed through the woods, it evolved into a shorter dress over leather leggings. We used colors that enhanced Kristen [Stewart]‘s natural beauty and felt organic in the woods. She did most action sequences herself, so it was important that the costume could be moved in!”
"Ravenna was the embodiment of decay. We wanted to convey her power and, at the same time, her weakness. Her costumes were almost insect-like in the way they became harder on the outside as she journeyed through the story. Her feather cape was a bit of a literal translation, because she turns into a blackbird. We used rooster feathers because…we really liked the fact that they are more than black. They’re blue—and green, too. Those were all hand-trimmed and hand-mounted on a really lightweight silk background by a milliner that I know in London. It really helped that Charlize [Theron] was so game to wear all these crazy costumes and inhabit them in a totally believable way.”

#SWATH Interview: Johnny Harris Mention Kristen "she’s amazing"
JOHNNY HARRIS: "WE WERE A REAL UNIT. WE FORMED A REAL BOND"

Snow White and the Huntsman star Johnny Harris on playing a dwarf and the 'real bond' that formed between cast members...
It must have been a privilege to be part of a dwarf gang alongside Bob Hoskins, Ray Winstone, Ian McShane…
I said to Ray one day on set that if it wasn’t for the likes of him and Bob Hoskins it wouldn’t have been possible for me to enter the profession. But Ray said it was exactly the same for him, and he went back to people like Michael Caine, even further to Charlie Chaplin. With these guys I can quote lines from their films so to be standing next to them and performing was kind of dreamlike. Going home after work and explaining what had happened that day was like explaining a weird dream. Ray Winstone was there… Bob Hoskins was there… We were in a forest - but we were all dwarves, and Kristen Stewart was crying… It was surreal.
And how is Kristen Stewart to work with?
For such a young lady to be steering the size of ship she was, she’s amazing. She just got her sleeves rolled up and stuck in. She’s very diligent, very inclusive. We were a real unit. We formed a real bond. More at source

Kristen Makes Variety’s 2012 Women’s Impact Report
Variety recently put out its 2012 Women’s Impact List, its annual opportunity to highlight the women who continue to influence Hollywood and the world. Variety describes the list’s honorees as “merely a snapshot of some of the amazing women working in the entertainment industry today.” Kristen is included in “The Kickin-A list” for her role as ‘Snow White’ in Universal’s ‘Snow White and the Huntsman.’
Variety describes the honorees:
Variety describes the honorees:
Our list is merely a snapshot of some of the amazing women working in the entertainment industry today, we aimed to include femmes from different disciplines and while there were dozens more more we could have included, we chose to focus this year on those who influenced the industry by thinking outside of the box. The question we asked for every honoree was, “was this person just doing their job?” or “did she do something extraordinary outside of her normal responsibilities?”
We invite both men and women to sit back, pour a glass of champers and enjoy our 2012 Women’s Impact Report.
Kristen is honored in The Kickin-A List. Variety explains,
Amid all the testosterone-heavy tentpoles and hit pay TV action series this year, it was the female characters that really delivered the knockout punches. From the heroines of summer blockbusters to the folks that made the smallscreen sizzle, women held their own in fare that might have originally been targeted for men, but were enjoyed by all.
Variety highlights Kristen’s performance, explaining “Stewart made the character her own with a steely version of the apple-loving beauty” and that her standout scene is her post-resurrection surge of Queen Ravenna’s castle.
Kristen’s co-star, Charlize Theron also made the Kickin-A list for her portrayal of The Evil Queen.

#SWATH Johnny Harris interview - Mentions Kristen Scene tnxs @malenacasey
indielondon Q. You’ve mentioned how helpful Kristen was on the set, even appearing in scenes with you when she wasn’t required?
Johnny Harris: Yeah, the scene in particular was the funeral scene when I had to sing. And it only got confirmed on the morning that I’d be singing on my own because of the technicality of getting us all to do it. In moments like that, when the camera is focused on you, you tend to find other actors disappear but they remained standing in. It kind of tells you a lot about the feeling in general on the set. So, when I looked around Kristen was there, and Chris [Hemsworth], and Ray and Bob were stood either side of me. I’ll never forget that moment. It was an emotional moment in the film, we were all crying a bit, and when I looked up Kristen was also crying and the camera was not even on her. So, I was tremendously grateful to her for that.
Q. Will there be a sequel?
Johnny Harris: I have absolutely no clue. We’re all just hired hands really… you hear all sorts of rumours and there’s a good chance. But I don’t know is the honest answer. It’s really healthy for an actor just to keep things in the moment. And I’m really lucky to be busy. I’m writing at the moment too. So, if it [the sequel] was to happen I’ll hear about it when I’m meant to. The good thing is that you get plenty of notice with films like that, so there’s no need to worry. I think only the producers know at this stage what’s happening.

"Cosmopolis" & SWATH among The EW's Summer Movie Awards
The check-up, Cosmopolis
Witness the raw power of Rob Pattinson unleashed, capable of conjuring up sexual chemistry even while receiving a prostate exam during a heated discussion about Chinese currency.
SWATH The arrival of the dwarves, Snow White and the Huntsman The second act of Snow White and the Huntsman is an aimless meander through a forest. There's a village, quickly set on fire. There's some tension, not much, between Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth. Suddenly, the dwarves arrive. And what dwarves! Ian McShane! Ray Winstone! Nick Frost! Toby Jones! That dude from Red Riding! Throw in Bob Hoskins — in his final film before announcing his retirement — and you've got pretty much half the great British character actors working today.

(Video) The Best Movies of Summer 2012 "Swath" &" Cosmopolis" Mention (Rolling Stones)
Let Travers know which Twilight star takes the gauntlet and which summer movies reign supreme in the comments below, on Twitter or via e-mail . RS
David Koepp on SWATH 2: 'I Couldn't' See Sequel Being Made Without Kristen Stewart" @Movieline
Movieline The screenwriter (Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones: The Return of a Legend) and director of this week's Premium Rush told Movieline that speculation that the media scandal involving Kristen Stewart, her Twilight co-star and reported off-screen beau Robert Pattinson and her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders is somehow good for business is "a cynical response" to the situation. "The people involved in any kind of scandal like that might want to respond, Who gives a shit? I didn’t say you could eat my head. You know?" Koepp told me.
His writing partner on Premium Rush agreed: "I think historically scandal has never done well for movies." (Movieline will post an interview with both regarding their new film on Friday.) When I asked Koepp what he made of the media frenzy surrounding Stewart, Sanders and Pattinson, he replied: "I think it was sad for all involved."
Koepp was hired by Universal to write a script to Snow White and the Huntsman but explained that he departed the project on friendly terms because the producers wanted to pursue a different direction. "I felt like there was a good path with her, but they wanted to explore a different thing I had no ideas for," said Koepp, who told me he couldn't picture SWATH 2 without Stewart and, therefore, "couldn't follow through." Koepp observed that the proliferation of social media has made it difficult for just about anyone, not just Twilight cast members to maintain privacy. "In the past — in the long past now — actors were able to keep their private lives much more separate," the filmmaker said. "Now, no one really has a private life. I don’t think its just actors. I have teenage sons and they’re of the social media generation. That sort of living out loud is just weird to me. "I can’t understand why you would want so much of yourself revealed to just anyone, because it is inevitably — inevitably — a target of derision. It’s impersonal, but hurtful," he said. "You see people really get hurt by Facebook attacks.
Particularly in the junior high sort of level." Noting that "Hollywood kind of is junior high," albeit with more money and drugs, Koepp added: "There’s a lot of pain out there for people who are exposed. I feel very bad for actors in that regard. I think it’s a suckie part of the job and, when people say, Well, you asked for it — no they didn’t. "They asked for a bunch of other stuff and were willing to make a bunch of other sacrifices," he said. "Just because you’re in the public eye doesn’t mean that you agree that there will be a complete abrogation of decency."
