Among the many film festivals in France, the Champs Elysees were not theirs. This is done from this Wednesday, June 6 and 12 until Tuesday, with the first edition of Champs-Elysées Film Festival.
"It's not just another festival," defends its designer, Sophie Dulac, productive and independent distributor. "This is a week dedicated to French cinema and American independent, and the opportunity to give back their titles of nobility to the Champs-Elysees." Six rooms of the most beautiful avenue in the world indeed welcome the public during these seven days will be screened over 40 films.

Previews
This festival, which is somewhat a competitor of the Festival of Deauville American Film(held annually in September), however, is not presented as a competition. Only the public will vote and award three prizes: one to distinguish the best of 10 independent American films selected, two to reward the best short films from French and American thirty presented.
If no selection in American movies are commercial films or highly anticipated by the general public, however the festival will present a series of previews American and French such as Snow White and the hunter (with Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart )After Life (starring Liam Neeson and Christina Ricci), drawing Amime the Lorax, Handsarmed (with Roschdy Zem, Leila Bekhti, Marc Lavoine), When I am small (with Jean-PaulRouve, Miou-Miou, Gilles Lellouche Claude Brasseur) and noticed two films at Cannes:Goodbye Bertha, Bruno Podalydès, and you have not already seen, by Alain Resnais.
