More info about the possibility of SWATH sequel
E!News:
Kristen Stewart is (or, at least, was) ready for a Snow White sequel
• Snow White and the Huntsman: The idea of Rupert Sanders directing Kristen Stewart in a sequel to the Universal Pictures hit has obviously taken on new meaning since news broke that the two had a postshoot fling. But Sanders said before the scandal enveloped him that he had been offered a shot at working on a sequel, and as far as anyone knows that hasn't changed. Made for $170 million, Snow White made a tidy $385.7 million worldwide, so a sequel remains a possibility, despite giving new meaning to the words "conflict of interest."
The Hollywood Reporter:
Long before Snow White launched a media maelstrom when compromising photos of star Kristen Stewart and married director Rupert Sanders emerged, Universal began moving forward with a sequel by hiring David Koepp, one of Hollywood's highest-paid screenwriters, to pen a follow-up. With a worldwide gross of $382 million on a $170 million-plus budget, Snow White is a modest if not mammoth hit, and the studio is said to be committed to extending the franchise. Will Sanders be involved? Universal says he will -- for now -- but an insider notes that Stewart's Snow White deal includes sequel language, while Sanders' does not.
