Sounding Off: Top 10 Soundtracks and Scores of 2010, Eclipse #7
From scores to soundtracks, this year really did deliver from the fine-tuning of classical orchestrations to completely reinventing them to introducing new artists to reacquainting us with well-known ones. Some have become old friends, some continue to impress, and at the end of it all there is one word that seems to sum up music for film in 2010: electric....
7. TWILIGHT: ECLIPSE (SOUNDTRACK)This soundtrack introduced me to The Black Keys. I could stop there, but the soundtrack as a whole is another impressive mix of alternative artists you may have heard of, along with some new discoveries.

Florence Welch Talks Team Edward vs. Team Jacob and Song Inspiration
Team Edward or Team Jacob?
I’m not sure, in the first film I was Team Edward, but then my loyalties swayed. On the second film, I really wanted Bella to kiss Jacob. In that film, Edward got a bit too moody for me.
If you were a vampire, what would you want your special power to be?
I guess control time, I do so many embarassing things daily it would be nice to go back and get a second chance.
What is the inspiration for your song, “Heavy In Your Arms,” on the Eclipse soundtrack?
The weight of love and how being in love or loved can actually be a burden, something that dragged you down.
What songs are part of your personal summer soundtrack?
The whole Yeasayer album, Odd Blood; Rhianna’s “Rude Boy,” Laura Marling’s new album, and Dizzee
Rascal, “Heavy.”

"Eclipse" soundtrack fights for top album spot
LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - The U.S. album chart is finally heating up after a lengthy lackluster spell, with the latest "Twilight" soundtrack set to lead a trio of notable newcomers next week.

Music
"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" is going up against Christina Aguilera's first studio release in nearly four years and the latest EP from the cast of the Fox TV show "Glee."
Industry prognosticators think "Eclipse" will likely debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with possibly as much as 140,000 to 160,000 copies sold by week's end on June 13. The last "Twilight" release, "New Moon," was released on a Friday and sold 115,000 in just three days, debuting at No. 2. In its first full week, it sold 153,000 and moved up to No. 1.
Sources also predict that the "Glee" album, "Journey to Regionals," might sell around 110,000 to 130,000 while Aguilera's "Bionic" could move 100,000 to 120,000 copies.
That's a sharp drop from the chart-topping, 346,000-unit start for her last effort, the 2006 double-length album "Back to Basics." But the sales projection could change, considering the number of high-profile TV appearances Aguilera has lined up this week. She played NBC's "Today" Tuesday, and will visit "The Late Show With David Letterman" tonight and "Live With Regis & Kelly" Thursday. She'll finish up the work week with a Friday visit to CBS' "Early Show." On Sunday, she'll be the focus of new episodes of VH1's "Behind The Music" and "Storytellers."
On the other hand "Bionic's" first single, "Not Myself Tonight," stalled at No. 23 on the Hot 100 singles chart in late April.
Other albums on course to make noteworthy debuts next week on the Billboard 200 include Plies' "Goon Affiliated," Dierks Bentley's "Up On The Ridge," Jewel's "Sweet and Wild," Saving Abel's "Miss America" and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals' self-titled album.

G1 Publishes 'Eterno pra voce' Lyric To Brazilian Eclipse Soundtrack

‘Eterno para voce’(Eternal for you), is an inedit song of ‘Hori’ that will be included in the brazilian Eclipse soundtrack, that will start selling this Tuesday (8).
Fiuk, singer of ‘Hori’, told to G1 brazilian site that he was inspired by Paramore to create the music: "Im a big fan of Paramore, and they recorded two songs to Twilight, so I got very exciting with the idea"
He reveleaded that to write the song, he watched the first movies in sequence ‘Then the music came to my mind and I wrote in the time’.
Fiuk said that the lyric talks about the passion and drama from Edward Cullen and the human Bella Swan. "She wants to become a vampire and live forever with him, and he doesn’t want to hurt her. [...]The scenes are very good, and Robert Pattinson is amazing"
There is the lyric (in Portuguese)
"Eterno pra você"
Sem você eu cheguei a pensar em não mais viver
Vou sangrar até morrer se você não ficar
Vou sangrar até morrer se você não ficar
Eu só quero ser
Eterno pra você
Só depende de nós
Me beija e não para dessa vez será pra sempre vá em frente
Eterno pra você
Só depende de nós
Me beija e não para dessa vez será pra sempre vá em frente
Seu cheiro me enlouquece
Fico louco só de te ver
Não consigo mais me conter
Se partir eu não vou mais existir
Fico louco só de te ver
Não consigo mais me conter
Se partir eu não vou mais existir
Minha vida chega ao fim
Nunca
Eu disse nunca
Me deixe mais uma vez
Nunca
Eu disse nunca
Mais
Nunca
Eu disse nunca
Me deixe mais uma vez
Nunca
Eu disse nunca
Mais
Translated:
Eternal for you
Without you I thought in stop living
I just want to be
Eternal for you
It only depends of us
Kiss me and this time don’t stop, this time will be forever, go ahead
Your smell makes me crazy
I got crazy just seeing you
I cant have more strength
If I leave I wont exist anymore
My life will end
Never
I said never
Leave me alone again
Never
I said never
Again

Usa Today: Listen Up: Non-Twihards will like 'Eclipse' soundtrack, too

The indie pop collected for the soundtrack to 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' should appeal to a broad range of music fans.
Various artists, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
* * * INDIE POP WITH BITE
With sales of the first two Twilight soundtracks at 3.6 million copies, it's no surprise some 400 songs were submitted for the third set by artists eager to hop on a hot franchise.
PLAYLIST: Michael Franti, plus 10 more
Producer Alexandra Patsavas pruned the heap to 15 congruous originals that admirably maintain a dignified creative independence while conveying the gray, swoony tones of Stephenie Meyer's teen vampire romance. In other words, indie-rock snobs can buy the CD without fear of social stigma.
First single Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever) finds Muse, in its third Twilight appearance, waxing melodramatic on Queenesque prog-rock. Florence + The Machine's Heavy in Your Arms follows the tale's pounding heartbeat with similar theatrics. The Dead Weather goes spare on the bluesy, menacing Rolling in on a Burning Tire. Eastern Conference Champions' A Million Miles an Hour also revels in creepiness, as does the beat-driven Let's Get Lost, a spacey duet by Beck and Bat for Lashes' Natasha Khan.
A hypnotic vibe cloaks UNKLE's With You in My Head, Sia's frail My Love and Howard Shore's lovely Jacob's Theme. Jolts from Fanfarlo's jaunty Atlas to The Bravery's propulsive Ours prevent Eclipse from lapsing into a dark lullaby. And while the folky Life on Earth sounds like a New Age celebration of dawn, Band of Horses seems at home in this stable of night crawlers. — Edna Gundersen
