Nikki [Reed] has a line in Thirteen that I love: The day that Rachel is invited to go shopping on Melrose with the bad girl, she says, "Mom, this is the most important day of my life!" It's so over-the-top but so true at that moment. As an artist or musician, you feel you have to get yourself into that zone of being passionate. That's how you flow in your creativity. Throughout history, different artists found different ways—drinking, drugs, sex, music—to find that creative zone. Hayley finds it with Enzo.

What inspired you to cast Emily Browning as Hayley?
At the time we were casting Twilight, all the fans online wanted Emily, not Kristen Stewart, to play Bella! I met with Emily. She had just come off a distressing experience on a movie and was like, "I don't know if I want to act again or just go back to Australia and lie on the beach." She was not in a head space to commit to a possible trilogy. But I loved her. She has a very special, unique, and kind of magical quality and fearlessness. She also has an amazing voice—it has a lot of soul and texture. She sings in this film.

You've said that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were perfect for their roles. What did you see in them that made you cast them?

I thought Kristen was just amazing in Into the Wild. When I read the novel Twilight, I kept picturing her in that scene, where she’s sitting in the trailer, hoping to seduce Emile Hirsch. Her yearning was palpable, real, and intense. I thought, "This girl would be wonderful." So Summit flew me out to Pittsburgh, where she was shooting Adventureland. We took an actor with us and improvised a lot of scenes. To find Edward was tricky, because how he was written, he was perfect, with these cheekbones, and he was also wise beyond his years. We whittled it down from hundreds of actors to four. I'd only talked to Rob on the phone when he was much younger. He flew out on his own dime and stayed on his agent's couch. The four actors came over to my house and we workshopped all the "chemistry" scenes. With Rob and Kristen, it was apparent that those two just connected and had a magnetism for each other that was electric, right there on the spot.

Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson Crash Hanson Record Party on Actress' Birthday

eonline Sounds like Kristen Stewart had a pretty happy MMMBirthday yesterday.
While their initial plan was for a low-key dinner party at home, the Twilight star and beau Robert Pattinson ended up at the bar No Vacancy at Hotel Juniper last night with a group of friends—where they happened to stumble upon a record release party for Hanson.
A source exclusively tells E! News that Rob and Kristen arrived at around 11 p.m. and spent time in both the main room and VIP area as part of a group of roughly a dozen people.

"They weren't overly affectionate or anything, but at points they were standing together as they talked to friends," the source says.
It didn't appear to be formal birthday party, with no one bringing out a cake or otherwise publicly marking Kristen's big 2-3, but she and Rob were still there at 1 a.m.

Meanwhile, Nikki Reed and hubby Paul McDonald were also at No Vacancy, but the presence of the Twilight alumna may have been a coincidence, as she later posted a pic to Instagram of herself with Taylor Hanson.
"Get the Girl Back," the first single off of Hanson's upcoming album Anthem, dropped yesterday—hence the Hollywood celebration. It remains unclear, however, whether Robsten happen to be Hanson fans, or if they even knew that they were sharing party space with the trio.

According to an eyewitness, the actress (who we've already proven is secretly awesome) and her leading man celebrated late-night at Jane’s House Lounge in Los Angeles on April 9 alongside former ‘90s teen pop group Hanson for the boy band’s album release party.
And per their usual bait-and-switch tactics, the co-stars-turned-lovebirds came into the venue around 11 p.m.(separately, of course), but you can't fool us, Robsten!

“Rob came in and sat down alone for about five minutes,” the onlooker told Celebuzz. “And then Kristen came in with a security guard and sat down next to Rob.”

And the Hanson boys weren’t the only VIP friends. Stewart partied with her famous besties including Nikki Reed, who stars in Hanson’s new music video for their single “Get The Girl Back.”
“Kristen had a good mix of friends with her, including Nikki and her husband Paul McDonald and Ashley Benson,” added the eyewitness.

While Taylor Hanson took his turn as DJ, the superstars chilled in their own section -- but were uncharacteristically public by shying away from a private VIP area.

“They were all hanging out in front of the other guests and looked like they were having a great time together.”

Welcome to 23, Kristen! Sounds like a memorable night.

Focus: Miss Stewart, with „Breaking Dawn Part 2“ the vampire saga which made you rich and famous, comes to an end. Are you relieved or sad that it’s over?

KS: Both. After the huge success of the first film we felt a lot of pressure, the series developed into a global phenomenon. We were part of a brand that had to be maintained. That's over now, and I'm not sad about it. The saga was a dominant part of my life during the past five years. So much happened during that time - and I've definitely become more mature.

FOCUS: First of all you became an international teen idol practically overnight. How did you cope with so much attention as a 17-year-old?

Stewart: The hype caught us all completely by surprise. The fans went literally crazy, suddenly we needed bodyguards. That was crazy. Jennifer Lawrence, the lead actress in The Hunger Games, who’s going through a similar situation right now, had asked me for advice on how to handle it. I told her: "Enjoy it and at the same time remember your own values."

FOCUS: Has the hype burdened you in a psychological way?

Stewart: Of course, nobody is really prepared for it. We travelled around the world to promote the movies. Wherever we showed up, huge crowds that screamed their heads off were expecting us. It is flattering, but at the same time it’s also scary. Sometimes it was just too much for me.

FOCUS: You became a product and therefore got marketed?

Stewart: The film was the product. Well, probably we somehow were one as well. We followed the plan and the guidelines.

FOCUS: You’ve been often described as "wooden", "arrogant" and on some internet forums really insulted. Have you been aware of that?

Stewart: At the beginning I often logged in the forums of the fans, in preparation for the role of Bella. It soon turned out as a mistake. I've read all sorts of things about me and quickly decided to let it be. I can understand, however, when some of the media describe me as "wooden". I was terribly anxious before the first rounds of interviews and was extremely nervous. Fortunately, it’s gotten all better in the meantime.

FOCUS: What has helped you in getting there?

Stewart: I learnt a lot from Rob (Robert Pattinson, editor). For him it was a lot easier to deal with the fans and the media, right from the beginning. Rob was, in general, an important supporter during the "Twilight" years.

FOCUS: Talent shows are booming, many people dream of becoming famous. Do you understand that?

Stewart: There are probably several motives why people apply to those casting shows. Some of them have real talent; they just want to show it and maybe make a profession of it, if they get a chance. The others live in a dream world. I’ve never wanted to become an actress to be famous. Those who live out those fantasies will probably fail horribly. Fame appears many people worth striving for. They would probably change their minds if they would get to see what it feels like having to give up the private life to a great extent.

FOCUS: You are keeping your private life under wraps - which is not always successful.

Stewart: I already have so much of me to give away, that it just makes me consider my private life, what I do at home, or who I'm dating, just sacred. We must not surrender completely in this business, that’s what I learnt quite fast. Also due to the "Twilight" hype.

FOCUS: Is it difficult after all that’s happened in the last few months to do a joint promo tour with Robert Pattinson?

Stewart: No, we're okay.

FOCUS: Is it easier to play a couple in a movie when you’re also in a relationship off-screen?

Stewart: In the end we both just focused on the roles which couldn’t be further away from reality. I mean, Rob played a vampire. He was wearing red contact lenses and was painted pale. So you do not think: Oh, that's Rob there. On set I always saw him as Edward, the vampire.

FOCUS: Can you understand the enourmous fascination for vampires?

Stewart: Sort of. It's just a kind of a fantasy world. Young girl falls in love with a vampire who can fly with her through the woods. A guy like a superhero. I can understand that especially young people like to immerse themselves in such ideas. Perviously the women dreamed of being picked up by a prince on a white horse, nowadays there are just vampires. But in the end it all comes down to the longing for romance.

FOCUS: "Harry Potter," "Twilight", "The Hunger Games" – does the desire for fantasy worlds get bigger the more problematic the real world is?

Stewart: That’s what has defined cinema for about 100 years. If reality gets more complex, fantasy films gives a welcoming variety to the everyday life. We’ve often been asked why the saga is extremely successful. We have attracted people in a world where the impossible becomes possible. Bella gives birth to a child of a vampire while being still human, and eventually turns into a Vampire with superior forces. On a bad day I would probably like to seek refuge in such a fantasy world, too. Sounds tempting, right?

FOCUS: Do you read fantasy novels yourself?

Stewart: I rather prefer the classics. Authors such as Albert Camus and John Steinbeck inspire me.

FOCUS: You once wanted to study literature?

Stewart: That’s what I could absolutely imagine doing in the future. I left school after the eighth grade, was then taught mainly by private tutors and graduated from high school via the Internet. The idea of going to school again is appealing. But currently I rather use the opportunities that I get in the movie business. I want to be a better character actress. This is something I realised about my abilities as an actress in "Twilight". I still have plenty of room to improve.

Garrett Hedlund Talks about Kristen and Robert

"Not that we ever thought Robert Pattinson was the type to get jealous of Kristen Stewart's other big screen leading men, but it's still nice to hear just how cool R.Pattz really is.

Garrett Hedlund knows this first hand.

The Tron hottie plays K.Stew's husband in the big screen adaptation of On The Road (in theaters Dec. 21 followed by a wider release in January), and the two engage in some major steamy action that even made us blush.

Pattinson couldn't have been more supportive.

"Rob is fantastic," Hedlund told me yesterday while promoting the indie flick at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. "He definitely was around a lot when we were filming and [costar] Sam Riley's wife was around, too. We'd all go hang out after the day of shooting and then we'd go off and shoot the next day."

And then Hedlund added with a smile, "It's a weird job that we do, isn't it?"'

Maybe taken a bit off guard, Stewart was ever the professional answering, "Funny you should mention that," before pausing to gather her thoughts. "I'm just going to let people watch whatever little movie they would like to think our lives are, and 'keep them guessing,' I always say," Stewart said.
 This is the first time Stewart has addressed her relationship with Pattinson since she issued a public apology after photos surfaced of the "Twilight" actress having an affair with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders back in July. "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected," she said in her apology. "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."
Stewart and Pattinson, whose characters are in the final four in MTV News' Twi-Fight Saga, first met on the set of "Twilight" back in 2008 and almost immediately, rumors of a romance began to swirl, with neither one of them publicly confirming the relationship until the scandal broke.

E! Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Heat Up On the Road After Party! (Article)

eonline Kristen Stewart walked the red carpet at the AFI screening of her film On The Road solo (and stunned in a gorgeous Balenciaga number). But the after party was a different story.

That's because the Twilight actress was joined by none other than boyfriend Robert Pattinson. For the record, Rob didn't walk the carpet and wasn't spotted inside the theater for the movie.

The Audi-sponsored fete was held at the Roosevelt Hotel across the street from Grauman's Chinese Theater (where the screening took place) and the couple spent the evening on the Garden Terrace.

So was the night filled with PDA for the newly reunited duo? Not quite.

Early in the night, K.Stew, who traded her red carpet look for a black leather jacket and black tank top, sat by a fire with costar Amy Adams. The two were deep in conversation while Rob, who wore a black jacket and jeans, sat nearby drinking and talking with some other people.

And when Amy left (after giving Kristen a big hug and making her way over to Rob to give him a big hug as well), the couple continued to make their rounds separately. R.Pattz drank a Stella and smoked an electronic cigarette while Kristen moved between groups of people, chatting.

The two seemed in great spirits the whole night. Kristen was bouncing around during conversation while Rob had his arm around a male pal as he threw his head back laughing.

Finally, a bit after midnight, Kristen was dancing and Rob made his way back to her. They spoke energetically and were playful, with Rob jokingly showing some dance moves of his own.

As for PDA, she patted his chest a few times as they talked and rubbed his head at one point. He whispered in her ear and put his arm around her for a moment.

Just before 1 a.m, Rob looked like he tried to rally some people to leave and a few minutes later Kristen followed after him.
