Looks like Peter Facinelli (a.k.a sexy vamp Carlisle Cullen) isn’t just a pretty face. In between shooting five Twilight films and playing the flirtatious Dr. “Coop” on Showtime’s “Nurse Jackie”, Facinelli has been busy writing and producing several films.
“Accidentally in Love” premiered on The Hallmark Channel on February 12th to impressive ratings—the star tweeted his followers that it was the “#1 rated movie on cable television that night”. The screenplay is reported to have been his first, one he wrote with his wife Jennie Garth in mind for the lead role. Garth did star in the film as lead character, Annie Baker.
Other writing projects on Facinelli’s plate include the feature “Loosies”, which filmed last summer inProvidence, and in which Facinelli himself plays the lead. Protagonist Bobby is a New York City native whose mother believes him to be a Wall Street banker. Yet, when he gets on the subway in the morning, that’s where he stays—riding the rails and picking pockets.
Less information is known about “El Chico Blanco”, the star’s most recently announced project (though IMDB lists Facinelli Films as the production company and Facinelli himself as the writer). It seems that most of the star’s upcoming projects, “Breaking Dawn” notwithstanding, see Facinelli utilizing a broader range of talents.
In addition to being know for his cinemagraphic prowess, Facinelli is known for his kindness to fans and his dedication to charitable causes, most visibly Alex’s Lemonade Stand. His admirers congratulate him on recent successes and wish him the best of luck.
