Bill Condon's companion, Jack Morrissey, later explained that Condon had not been responsible for the missing (or mismatched) footage, placing the blame on Breaking Dawn 2's second-unit crew.
"The coming additional photography is stuff that was conceived, developed, and was to be executed by the second unit during the period of principal photography," Morrissey told his podcast listeners. "For various reasons, it was not executed by the second unit … So, now, because it was not executed by the second unit, up you all go … to get what should've been gotten [during] principal photography."
As per Morrissey, no dialogue is involved. And if his information is fully accurate, Condon, Pattinson, Stewart, Sheen, and Navarro should be returning home (or going elsewhere) before next weekend.
That'll give Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart a few days to get ready for the Cannes Film Festival, which kicks off on May 16, and where both Twilight stars have films screening in the Official Competition: Pattinson stars in David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, with Juliette Binoche, Jay Baruchel, Samantha Morton, and others; Stewart has one of the leads, alongside Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley, in Walter Salles' On the Road, which also features Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, and Amy Adams. altfilmguide
eonline Vancouver paps, get your cameras ready—Robert Pattinson, 25, and Kristen Stewart, 22, are back in town.
Rob and Kris were spotted separately at the Vancouver International Airport Sunday afternoon. They returned to Canada to film technical work on the final Twilight installment.
So, did the vampire pair pack on the airport PDA?
Hardly! If it weren't for some very observant photogs, Rob and Kris may have slipped by the masses—the long-term couple didn't even walk together at the airport.
In typical Robsten fashion, it appears the couple tried to go completely unnoticed. Kristen wore simple skinny jeans, a white tee, a green jacket and a pair of dark shades. Rob sported a baseball cap and his scruffy beard.
Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon recently announced that Rob, Kristen and other members of the Twilight crew were heading back to Vancouver to reshoot some technical work for Breaking Dawn Part 2. He also promised another trailer and a stellar poster that we're still waiting for.
Here's hoping Rob and Kris actually step out together in Vancouver. We simply could not be more excited that the vampire pair is back together on set.
But if Robsten keeps up this top-secret act? At least we have Cannes where we know the duo will strut the red carpet together. Can't wait!
