A New Project for Robert Pattinson?

Photobucket

@MyTrackingBoard tweeted:

Robert Pattinson heads to the round table for “Pendragon” -

Their website stated:

Robert Pattinson has been offered one of the lead roles in the new King Arthur retelling PENDRAGON, filling in one of the spots left open after Eric Bana and Michael Fassbender dropped out of the production. Project is a reimagining of the founding of Camelot by King Arthur, with Pattinson up for the role of the fabled king. Pattinson’s potential casting projects a different light on the project, signaling a possible change in tone for the production than when Bana and Fassbender were considered for the leads.

Sylvain White is directing from a script by Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy, with Michael Connolly producing.

Pattinson is repped by Curtis Brown Group, WME,and 3 Arts Entertainment.

It’s Official: Chris Weitz not directing “Breaking Dawn”

For months on end there has been speculation about “Breaking Dawn,” and who would direct the final chapter of the saga.

Gossip Cop has received official confirmation from Chris Weitz’s rep that he will not be directing the film(s).

Fans had hoped for some time Weitz, who directed “New Moon” (and “The Golden Compass” and “About A Boy” before that), would helm “Breaking Dawn,” but it’s a no go.

Weitz is next slated to direct a personal project about an undocumented Mexican laborer that he himself is partially funding. That film begins next month.

So loved was Weitz there was even a rumor – albeit false – that stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner had written a joint endorsement, urging Summit Entertainment to lock down the director for the final installment.

Ultimately, it was Weitz’s decision.

As Gossip Cop reported last month, though officially no decision has been made about whether to split “Breaking Dawn” into two films, a well-place source said dividing the final book into two movies is “the direction that it’s going in.”

We’re also told Summit is currently looking at top-tier directors to helm the final “Twilight” film

Rumour: Pattinson confirms his relationship with Kristen

ROBERT PATTINSON has reportedly confirmed he is dating co-star KRISTEN STEWART, ending months of speculation.

The Brit has been romantically linked to Stewart ever since the pair starred in the first movie in the vampire franchise together in 2008.
The actors have constantly dodged questions about their love lives, but now Pattinson has allegedly announced he's dating the American star.
The pair both attended the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards in London on Sunday (21Feb10), where Stewart picked up the Orange Rising Star trophy.
Both Pattinson and Stewart kept their distance at the ceremony at the British capital's Royal Opera House, but were later spotted leaving the afterparty at Grosvenor House together.
And the actor has now admitted he is in a relationship with Stewart, but explains they have to stay apart for the sake of their fans.
He reportedly tells The Sun newspaper, "It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes. We can't arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it's impossible. We are here together and it's a public event but it's not easy. We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention."

“Twilight” – Your Rumors vs. Reality Rundown

The following text comes from Gossip Cop
Turn to the them to know if the gossip is true or not!

Love & lies, rumors & romance, satire & Scream … it was another busy week for “Twilight” fans hoping to stay on top of what was real – and what wasn’t. Gossip Cop recaps it all …

*** *** *** *** ***

Werewolf Taylor Lautner will be on hand at the Scream 2009 Awards (taping tonight for broadcast next week), and the ceremony will show new “New Moon” footage, but neither Robert Pattinson nor Kristen Stewart is expected to attend.

All three stars WILL be on the cover of an upcoming Entertainment Weekly, as Gossip Cop was first to confirm.

One magazine NOT impressing Gossip Cop with its “Twilight” cover this week was OK! – whose deceptive Rob and Kristen “Inside Our Home” exclusive just plain bites.

We also busted a supposed “satire” on Reel Loop that invented Chris Weitz quotes to make it look as though he had outed Pattinson and Stewart as a real-life couple. (Um, we’re still not sure the site understands what “satire” is. Or journalism.)

There were also rumors of romance between Lautner and superstar singer Taylor Swift, and between “New Moon” newbie Jamie Campbell Bower and Bonnie Wright of “Harry Potter” fame. Gossip Cop thinks one is more likely than the other.

We’ll end the week where we began: with caution about buying (yet) any detailed reports of “Breaking Dawn” being officially greenlit as a two-movie Portland production. Last Sunday a rep for Summit told Gossip Cop no decisions about location or start date had been made, and our sources confirmed to us again today that subsequent reports professing to break “Breaking Dawn” news are premature.

As always, we’ll work to give you accurate “Twilight” updates as soon as they’re available.
